Established Wichita employer looking for individual with an administrative background to train in collections.  This position is responsible for giving excellent client service and assists with day-to-day collections operations. Places and receives calls from debtors, garnishees, and other parties. Completes skip tracing for additional information. Requires excellent communication, both verbal and written, and attention to detail. Documents are processed in accordance with FDCPA guidelines.


Job Description:

The position will consist of:

95%   Collection

  • Places and receives calls from debtors, garnishees, and other parties
  • Proofs and mails demand letters
  • Prepares services packets
  • Runs PACER and SCRA searches
  • Enters judgments in collection software
  • Drafts miscellaneous court pleadings
  • Drafts letters to debtors, clients, garnishees, and other parties
  • Skip tracing for addresses and asset Information
  • Post payment
  • Provides updates and cost requests to clients
  • Calendars court hearings and deadlines
  • Communicates with out of state attorneys for updates on files referred
  • Ensures files are reviewed and worked consistently

5%   Administrative Support

  • Back up for Collections Supervisor
  • Back up for Collections Secretary
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Experience.
  • 1 year of office or support experience.
  • 1 years of experience in collections preferred.
  • Valid KS driver’s license and a good driving record.
  • Excellent attitude and an extraordinary client service orientation.
  • Strong verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
