Then our client’s Conflicts team is looking for talent like you. The firm is adding to headcount in their conflicts department, and the person in this newly created position can be based in California or Washington DC.

Job Description:

They are looking for a Conflicts Analyst that will be responsible for the following: Reviewing conflicts searches performed by Specialists and Research Assistants, providing direction and constructive critique to ensure searches are comprehensive and accurate. Approving the language used to communicate with attorneys in complex situations, ensuring superior customer service levels and attainment of required information. Independently performs conflicts issue-spotting. Clear conflicts on specific, limited types of requests, such as nonlawyer hires. Also assists Conflicts Attorneys in their clearances as requested. Reviewing Outside Counsel Guidelines for conflicts and professional-responsibility-related provisions and lead project to have these provisions implemented.

Job Requirements:

Qualified candidates will have at least 3 years in a law firm, conflicts experience is preferred but not required. 4-year degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent combination of education and related experience is needed. Familiarity with automated conflict checking systems as used in a law firm setting required. Background with corporate family tree research and the use of the internet for legal and corporate research is essential.
