The Senior Director of Donor Relations and Community Engagement is responsible for working with the President/CEO, Board of Directors, Development Committee and Advancement Team to plan and coordinate all aspects of fund development.

Job Description:
  • Creating, implementing, and managing major gifts and planned giving programs to meet all budget expectations
  • Developing strategies for solicitation, and coordination of the solicitation by other affiliate staff, board or volunteers, as appropriate
  • Cultivating past and current major donors to enhance their relationship with and increase the likelihood of continued contributions
  • Overseeing and supporting the implementation and execution of all strategies for the Annual Fund, including through fundraising, special events, and partnering with Senior Director of Strategic Communication
  • Providing direct management of the Associate Director of Development and Volunteer and Special Events Manager, supporting each member in their respective fields, with an emphasis on development and fundraising
  • Identify and manage a portfolio of major gift donors
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field
  • 5+ years’ experience in fundraising, sales, nonprofit management and community relations, volunteerism, and special events
  • Experience managing a diverse team and facilitating collaboration with all members of the organization, in meeting and exceeding financial goals working with diverse communities
  • 5+ years’ experience with fundraising campaigns and mail appeals
  • 2+ years’ experience in securing five and six figure gifts
  • Solid experience with Microsoft Office Suite
