Summary:

The International Market Manager will work with Leadership and Distributors in a collaborative partnership to assist the Distributor with business assessment and planning, implementing a maintenance awareness marketing and sales strategy, sales and technical training, customer cultivation and retention, and general territory development. Will also help facilitate communication among Distributors as well as help coordinate training activity within various area. All roles and responsibilities are focused on brand development and sales growth.

Location:  Wichita, KS  (Company is willing to assist with relocation)

 

Job Description:
  • Participate in market research and strategic planning for ITO and help execute approved strategies in various territories.
  • Assist with identification of trends, risks and opportunities across product lines/business area pursuits and help identify priorities in business needs, opportunities, and resource allocations.
  • Support Leadership and collaborate in the recruitment, orientation, training and evaluation of Distributors and Resellers to fully develop selected markets.
  • Support Distributors and their sales teams in achieving brand awareness, market penetration, sales growth, channel expansion and business diversification.
  • Assist with training and area-based sales and technical training, to include instructional roles as appropriate.
  • Assist with OEM communication and development of product and service approvals and/or recommendations.
  • Submit regular reports summarizing activity, expenditures, plans, projected needs, and other issues as required, focusing on ROI.
  • Reflect and maintain a professional and trustworthy manner, comply with company policies and ethical and legal expectations, and reflect and advocate for company core values.
  • Help manage communications, projects, and tasks, both internally and externally, ensuring alignment and adherence to agreed timelines and plans from Distributors, Resellers, and cross functional stakeholders. Other duties as needed or assigned.
Job Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • BS Degree in engineering, international business or related field from an accredited university or college required, Master’s Degree preferred.
  • International and industry related work preferred.
  • 4-8 years of experience in successful B2B sales and/or business development, with automotive maintenance services experience strongly preferred.
  • Should be able to perform or easily learn core product demos and understand and effectively communicate the nature and importance of, and business case for related maintenance awareness and business programs.
  • Know or demonstrate the ability to easily learn and communicate the nature and functioning of Dealer Management Systems (DMS), dealership and independent service center maintenance operations and needs, fleet and heavy industry maintenance needs and operations, as well as sales/marketing program development and evaluation for these business areas.

  • Ability to effectively teach a selling process from prospecting through closing; with an understanding of how to maintain and grow a customer relationship and account.
  • High-energy self-starter, with a competitive nature yet proven respect for and ability to be a collaborative team player.
  • Analytic, market research and business planning.
  • Good presentation and communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Fluency in English, verbal and written, with additional languages preferred.
  • Demonstrated commitment to building strong and supportive relationships with Distributors and Reseller partners.
  • Proactive, tactful, trustworthy, problem solver, with the ability to work in a results and deadline-oriented environment.
  • Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as internal and external clients.
  • Ability to convey and maintain a professional manner and appearance in a variety of work-related situations.
  • Regular international travel is required, with and frequent time zone changes likely.  Domestic and international travel can account for approximately 40-50% of work and related time
