Job Description: An international law firm is seeking a Litigation Secretary with 5+ years of experience for their Century City office. The desk will provide support to a Partner and three Associates. Candidates should have a stable work history supporting attorneys at mid-to-large sized firms. Must be proficient with eFiling and calendaring. Responsibilities:
Formatting/revising briefs, pleadings and other legal documents
Generating TOC/TOA for briefs.
Assisting with manual and electronic court filings
Serving Discovery documents
Administrative responsibilities: preparing expense reports, check requests, entering time into DTE as requested, opening and distributing incoming mail, billing, etc.
Knowledgeable of all aspects of the discovery process, e-discovery, and experience working with e-discovery vendors.
Familiarity with Court Procedures, California Rules of Court, Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, etc.
Experience with trial preparation
Experience in making extensive travel arrangements (i.e., both Domestic and International travel)
Take initiative (i.e. troubleshooting)
Maintain professional interaction with clients
Work well under pressure with deadlines
