Job Description: A national law firm seeks a full-time litigation legal secretary for its growing San Diego office. The legal secretary will provide direct support to the office’s managing partner. Responsibilities include managing the conflicts check process for new matters, coordinating meetings, maintaining case files, finalizing correspondence, entering time, creating TOCs/TOAs, e-filing, and other duties as assigned. The secretary also works closely with the attorneys’ assigned billing specialist.
Job Requirements: The ideal candidate must have a minimum of three to five years of solid litigation experience, with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook). S/he must be a self-starter, detailed-oriented and proactive, with excellent communication skills (oral and written). Knowledge of the firm's document management program, FileSite, as well as its time and billing system, Aderant, are a plus.
