Manage a targeted region of existing and new Customers to build sustainable business to support their current and future automation needs.  You will have the full support of management and technical resources to be successful in the Field as you build customer relationships and remain steadfast in your customer-focused approach to meet their ROI-based needs.

Job Description:
  • Strategically develop new markets and expand sales growth within targeted core markets, with primary focus within the U.S.
  • Directly manage existing, prospective, & future customer relationships – advancing their initiatives through our proactive partnership
  • Represent Automation professionally at industry trade shows, symposiums, and other business functions
  • Meeting customers, prospective clients, and building the network in the Field
  • Leverage Automation’s development team to respond to market trends and new business development opportunities
  • Understand Client’s needs and build out a ROI-based proposal to address those needs
  • Assist with Customer training, re-training, and coordinating technical service needs of Customer with Automation Engineering
  • Proactively lead additional automation proposals as Customers’ needs advance and evolve
  • Full participation in educational seminars, online training, and trade show events
  • Respond to customer calls, questions, concerns, and key action items within 12-24 hours
  • Key driver for revenue growth and market share expansion
  • Responsible for sales targets in assigned multi-state territory. Territory may be assigned based on current location, existing business relationship strengths &/or targeted strategic areas in the country
  • Travel to customer sites within territory or need-based opportunities outside of territory
  • Out of region travel required for training; up to 8-12 weeks within first year depending on existing expertise and industry knowledge
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of competitive products / offerings and their activity in the marketplace
  • Bring your ideas and opportunities for us to explore / implement to build innovative solutions and value to both our new and prospective Customers
  • Understand our ISO processes and complete documentation to meet all ISO requirements
  • Adhere to all company quality and safety policies
  • Become an invaluable teammate across Automation and Products in integrity, responsiveness, and excellence
  • Adhere to all safety standards and policies, including wearing of appropriate PPE throughout all properties and each customer site locations
Job Requirements:
  • Engineering, Technical, or Computer Science Degree preferred
  • 3+ years of proven outside sales experience in robotics or automation industry strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of implementing robotic and/or automation systems into a wide range of industrial applications is preferred
  • Previous experience in industrial automation, solution/project sales involving technical products
  • Strong sense of understanding of the value proposition to end-users
  • Business acumen that can be applied at different levels of decision makers from senior management to technical support
  • Ability to synthesize and present information from C-suite level to factory floor both in small and large groups
  • Capable of overnight travel from 25% to 40% of time, or as required. Possible international travel opportunities
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and capability to become proficient in QuickBase CRM Database / Project Management portal



  • Mechanical – Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
  • Electronics – Knowledge of electrical principles, including circuits, controls wiring, and terminology.
  • Mathematics – Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, and geometry; and their applications.
